Building Roads. Effective Transport infrastructure

An Effective Transport infrastructure is crucial to Gatanga's productive capacity and growth prospects’, developing the transport infrastructure is important to provide access to markets.

The Gatanga Constituency Development Committee works to create an environment that encourages and enables the private sector investment by developing infrastructure, and to ensure that public infrastructure investments are timely and well targeted. Considering that Gatanga Constituency is majorly an Agricultural development, this will ensure improved access of farmers to and by their market hence increased profits and business growth.

Building Transport infrastructure is a means for wider development ends, such as poverty reduction. The key is the belief that, development of infrastructure is the basis for economic growth, which, in turn, creates the conditions for poverty reduction.

The following roads have been done;

• Tarmac Roads;
  • Thika –Gatanga- Kirwara- Gatura- Kiarutara –Gakoe.
  • Gatanga-Mukarara-Ndunyu Chege- Ndakaini-Kimandi

Tarmac road under construction:

• Kiunyu-Kihumbuini-Gikingi road
• Murram Roads;

• Tegoro-Kirathini
• Kilimambogo
• Kirwara- Kigio-Bluepost
• Junction Kwa Mukundi
